History
Miracle Ranch Children’s Home has a long and accomplished history and it is with great pride that we share it:
1987 - Miracle Ranch Children’s Home is founded as Miracle Ranch Children's Home Inc. in Valle las Palmas, Tecate, Baja California, Mexico; a piece of ground with olives was donated from a God's man from Minnesota who support the vision shared the Uribe family "to care for unprotected and vulnerable young children without a family or for those who cannot care for them"; an small home and just faith Uribe's marriage, they started with six boys, arriving from center of Mexico and the challenge to learn how to activate the olive trees cultivation to promote self-sufficiency.
1987 - The need for larger place Uribe's family, promote binational resources USA and Mexican looking for benefactors people for a new structure and the successful fund raising effort results in a new Home for boys. It houses 36 boys
1990 - Within a generation, the number of children in the community who require care increases dramatically, and the Home searches for a way to respond. Many people and Church are visited to contribute to the need.
1997 - The first house is renovated and expanded initially through gifts from members of the Miracle Ranch Children's Home family.
The Children’s Home sponsors raises funds the first directors home, children's kitchen, offices, art room, and small food warehouse. Today every winter, a dinner celebration event raises money with the sponsors, founders, board year-round.
2006 - Children’s Home suffer a big ground fire, loosing all supplies and tools warehouse and 150 olive tons
2006- The Children’s Home initiates warehouse rebuilding and raise donations, volunteers, materials and tools to start a great vision focus to a integral residential treatment home, with chapel and vocational school for boys, girls, adolescents and young people from dysfunctional families with all kind of psychological, sexual abuse, emotional problems, negligence, abandoned and other special situations.
2007 and beyond - The Miracle Ranch Children’s Home of Valle Las Palmas, Tecate Mexico, can house approximately 60 children on integral program.
